How Does Fiverr Work?

It is free to sign up on Fiverr, and you can either operate on the platform in Buyer or Seller modes. We’ll go through the key functionalities of each part in this section.

How Fiverr Works for Buyers

• Gigs - Searching for and Selecting

Finding Gigs on Fiverr is as simple as typing something into the search bar. You can search through listings by category and sort by vendor rating, delivery time, and price if you'd like to browse selections or details.

• Buying process and interaction with sellers

After finding a Gig that you wish to buy, you could click Continue and you will also have the choice to tailor your order.

When the details are ready, press the Order Now button and choose the preferred payment method. Now that everything is complete, you can select Confirm & Pay and your order will follow through.

If you want to include an available Extra that the seller offers, you can add it on the order page’s Details tab.

You can either contact them via a profile page contact button or do it through the Messages tab on your account.

• Review and feedback system

As a buyer, you can review buyer experience by clicking the Rate Experience button on the orders page (KYC / ID). In the end rating of these aspects of the finished order.

How Fiverr Works for Sellers (Freelancers)

• Creating your profile and setting up Gigs

After registering you need to activate your seller and create Gigs. Both of these processes are approved by Fiverr and can only be done through your desktop.

Price structures - Basic, Standard, and Premium packages

Packages are the pre-defined pricing structures sellers can define themselves as they build their listing in the Create a Gig page.

Basic is the priciest option, Standard is the middle choice, and Premium is the most expensive.

You can define each package tier with certain volumes and offers, and these may also feature built-in revisions and extras.

Irrespective of your seller tier, Fiverr takes a 20% commission fee on each of your orders.
